Director Human Resources (SaaS)

Location: Morrisville, North Carolina; hybrid schedule with office attendance on Mondays and Thursdays. Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship and based locally in the Morrisville/RTP area or willing to relocate.

What you will do

• Build and operate the people function, managing an in-house recruiter and tracking hiring metrics.
• Lead compensation reviews, market benchmarking, benefits administration, vendor relationships, and open enrollment.
• Run performance reviews, calibration sessions, PIP processes, promotions, compensation adjustments, and manager coaching.
• Own HRIS administration and payroll operations, including employee records and finance and accounting integrations.
• Manage employee relations investigations, exit interviews, turnover data, documentation, policies, and employment-law compliance.
• Advise executives on headcount planning, reporting structures, reorganizations, culture, and employee experience.

Requirements

• 7+ years of HR experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role such as Director, Head of HR, or senior HRBP.
• Hands-on experience owning payroll and administering an HRIS platform.
• Experience building compensation bands, conducting market benchmarking, and managing benefits programs.
• Working knowledge of federal employment law and North Carolina employment law, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, I-9/E-Verify, OSHA, and workplace-safety requirements.
• Ability to analyze and present hiring, turnover, engagement, and other HR metrics to leadership.
• US work authorization without sponsorship and local availability in the Morrisville/RTP area or willingness to relocate.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• SHRM-CP or PHR certification.
• Experience using Paylocity.
