Adjunct Instructor - Texas Government (Political Science)

Location: Stephenville, Texas; teaching assignments may also support the Fort Worth campus and online community.

What you will do

• Plan, prepare, and deliver Texas Government instruction to undergraduate and/or graduate students.
• Develop syllabi, select instructional materials, and create exams, quizzes, papers, and other assessments.
• Evaluate student performance, provide timely feedback, and assess learning outcomes.
• Use active learning, discussion, collaboration, technology, and innovative teaching methods.
• Hold office hours, mentor students, and provide academic guidance and support.
• Serve as a Campus Security Authority and follow university, academic integrity, and accreditation requirements.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Political Science, Government, or a closely related field from an accredited university.
• At least 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• Ability to teach through in-person, approved instructional, or online modalities as required by student demand.
• Completed application, cover letter, CV or resume, three current professional references, and unofficial transcripts.
• Employment is subject to credential verification and a criminal history investigation.

Nice to have

• Doctorate or terminal degree in Political Science, Government, or a closely related field.
• Previous collegiate online teaching experience.
