What you will do

• Build, manage, support, and migrate VMware vCenter and ESXi infrastructure environments.
• Handle incident, problem, and change management for virtualization environments.
• Manage the security and stability of VMware products and the subsystems supporting the delivery environment.
• Lead technical projects for vSphere environments, including VMware upgrades and Site Recovery Manager implementations.
• Communicate with customers, provide technical support, and collaborate with the broader team.
• Follow IBM policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Experience with vSphere 4.x, 5.x, and 6.x, including vCenter Server for Windows, vCenter Server Linux Appliance, VMware ESX, and VMware ESXi.
• Experience with IBM/Lenovo System X, Intel HP, and Cisco UCS server hardware.
• Experience with VMware PowerCLI, VMware upgrades from 5.x to 6.x, and VMware Site Recovery Manager.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012 at a mid-level or higher.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

Nice to have

• Experience with vRealize Operations Manager, virtualization performance or capacity tools, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, and NFS.
• Experience with EMC SAN, IBM SVC/XIV, Cisco UCS Central/Manager, VCE vBlock, or VMware NSX.
