Cost Engineering for Space (Aerospace)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal. Hybrid working model combining onsite and offsite work.

What you will do

• Support the consolidation of costing and pricing for offers across defined space products and programs.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Commercial, and Procurement to establish cost transparency and collect technical and commercial inputs.
• Configure and update cost models, collect project actuals, and prepare cost evolution, deviation, and benchmark reports.
• Perform independent bottom-up cost estimates for systems and subsystems using analytical, parametric, or similarity-based approaches.
• Prepare bid cost brochures, pricing, and financial entries for offer decision gates such as MG3 and RMC.
• Support cost target setting, supplier and internal cost-owner negotiations, reconciliation of estimate variances, and the transition from costing to Program EAC after kickoff.

Requirements

• Professional experience in costing, pricing, financial analysis, or a related discipline.
• Ability to combine economic and technical analysis for aerospace and space products or programs.
• Experience working with structured cost models, project actuals, cost references, and estimation assumptions.
• Ability to consolidate cost estimates, explain cost impacts, and support risk and opportunity analysis.
• Ability to collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Programs, Operations, and Sales stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model from Lisbon, Portugal.
