Environmental Sustainability Engineer

Salary: €30,305.90–€41,002.10 per year

What you will do

• Coordinate environmental sustainability programs and project-oriented work across Engineering Operations and Services.
• Integrate environmental sustainability into engineering capital project delivery and participate in technical sustainability impact assessments.
• Build project plans, assign and monitor work, perform quality reviews, and escalate functional, quality, and timeline issues.
• Track milestones, adjust resources, and support program progress against plan.
• Manage Environmental Sustainability core team and Internal Steering Committee meetings, agendas, and action items.
• Coordinate communication across the enterprise on scope, budget, risk, and resources.

Requirements

• Master’s degree, or a bachelor’s degree with 2 years of engineering or scientific experience, or an associate degree with 6 years of experience, or a high school diploma/GED with 8 years of experience.
• Knowledge of engineering principles for energy and water usage reductions and savings.
• Program and project management skills, including engineering analysis spreadsheets for project justification, design, development, and capital planning.
• Strong written and oral communication, relationship-building, leadership, and collaboration skills in a matrixed environment.
• Experience with measurement and verification, including IPMVP, and general office software such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of industrial, laboratory, or manufacturing systems, including boilers, chilled water plants, refrigeration, compressed air, process heating and cooling, motors, pumps, HVAC, and lighting.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Physical, or Life Sciences.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with LEED projects or LEED certification.
• Successful EIT completion with plans to pursue a PE license or equivalent designation.
• Passion and interest in environmental sustainability.
