TL;DR
Piping Engineer – Maintenance & Shutdown Projects | ONSITE (Mining and Heavy Industrial Piping): Supporting Australian engineering teams with piping, pressure vessel, and tank design, analysis, and documentation for brownfield modifications, upgrades, maintenance, and shutdown projects with an accent on ASME/API standards, 3D model-based design, and structural integrity. Focus on performing stress and flexibility evaluations, reviewing drawings and P&IDs, selecting piping components, and producing accurate engineering deliverables for mining and heavy industrial facilities.
Location: Onsite in Ortigas, Alabang, Pampanga, or Cebu, Philippines. Work schedule: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM Philippine time.

What you will do
- Provide piping engineering design, analysis, and documentation support to Australian lead engineers.
- Work on brownfield plant modifications, upgrades, new systems, and maintenance of ageing systems.
- Perform engineering analysis for repairs involving piping, pressure vessels, and tanks.
- Prepare engineering calculations, reports, specifications, and scopes of work.
- Review and check piping layouts, equipment plot plans, isometric drawings, P&IDs, 3D models, and interface documents.
- Collaborate with Australian engineers, designers, project managers, and cross-functional discipline teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience as a consulting engineer working across projects with defined budgets and schedules.
- Experience in mining, minerals processing, power generation, or heavy industrial environments.
- Demonstrated experience applying ASME and API standards, performing piping and tank calculations, and conducting stress and flexibility analysis.
- Ability to select and document piping materials, valves, supports, and inline components based on process and operating conditions.
- Professional-level written and verbal English is required.
Nice to have
- Experience with Australian mining and industrial projects.
- Familiarity with AS 1210, AS 4041, AS 3788, AS/NZS 1200, ASME B31.3, ASME Section VIII Division 1, and API 510/570/650.
- Experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D, SolidWorks, Caesar II, AutoPIPE, Compress, Navisworks, or SharePoint.
