Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid with 2–3 days onsite per week

What you will do
- Lead day-to-day clinical proton physics operations for an advanced proton radiation therapy program.
- Direct treatment planning workflows, patient positioning and immobilization, upright CT image guidance, and clinical protocol optimization.
- Oversee machine and patient-specific quality assurance, daily clinical coverage, staffing, and clinical physics team operations.
- Review and approve complex proton treatment plans and lead incident learning, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with radiation oncologists, physicists, dosimetrists, therapists, engineers, and vendors to ensure accurate dose delivery and efficient clinical throughput.
- Lead acceptance testing, commissioning, recalibration, maintenance oversight, regulatory compliance, resource planning, and long-term proton program strategy.
Requirements
- PhD or equivalent in medical physics or a related field.
- ABR certification or equivalent.
- Substantial hands-on experience in clinical proton therapy operations.
- Strong experience with pencil-beam scanning systems and leadership of complex clinical workflows.
- Ability to work onsite in Boston 2–3 days per week.
Nice to have
- Experience with fixed-beam systems, novel patient positioning paradigms, or advanced image-guided proton therapy.
- Academic accomplishments supporting an appointment at Harvard Medical School at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.
