What you will do

  • Manage medical physics and dosimetry services across four or more practice sites at the statewide level.
  • Provide radiation oncology physics coverage, including HDR and LDR brachytherapy procedures.
  • Lead physicists, medical dosimetrists, and brachytherapy staff, including technical direction, scheduling, billing review, and supply procurement.
  • Implement radiation safety training, personnel monitoring, quality management programs, and treatment-procedure reviews.
  • Oversee ionizing radiation equipment registration, radioactive material licenses, regulatory compliance, and equipment maintenance.
  • Evaluate radiation-producing machines, accessories, and computerized treatment-planning systems, and participate in chart rounds.

Requirements

  • Master’s or PhD degree in medical physics from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Current American Board of Radiology certification in the field.
  • Valid state license for radiation physics and compliance with continuing education requirements.
  • At least seven years of experience in radiation physics, including at least three years of management experience.
  • Experience with large, multi-site radiation physics programs and brachytherapy services is preferred.
  • Ability to work full-time on site in Vancouver, Washington, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
