Location: On-site in Maplewood, Minnesota, United States

Salary: $195,000–$262,000 annualized full-time equivalent, prorated for 0.9 FTE; final offer depends on experience and certification status.

What you will do

  • Oversee treatment planning, plan review, and independent verification for external beam radiation cases, including SRS, SBRT, IMRT, VMAT, and 3D treatments.
  • Provide physics support for GYN, skin, and live ultrasound-based prostate HDR brachytherapy procedures.
  • Support the radiopharmaceutical therapy program through dosimetry, radiation safety, and program development for current and emerging agents.
  • Execute and improve machine, patient-specific, and imaging QA across linacs, CT, and PET/CT systems.
  • Participate in chart rounds, peer review, incident learning, APEx-aligned safety initiatives, equipment commissioning, and technology assessment.
  • Teach and mentor radiation therapy staff, dosimetrists, and students, while contributing to research and the planned CAMPEP physics residency program.

Requirements

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Medical Physics or a related field.
  • Graduation from a CAMPEP-accredited graduate program and/or residency is strongly preferred.
  • ABR certification in Therapeutic Medical Physics is preferred; board-eligible candidates pursuing certification are encouraged to apply.
  • Three or more years of clinical experience are preferred; strong recent residency graduates are also considered.
  • Experience with Varian TrueBeam, Eclipse, ARIA, and brachytherapy is advantageous.
  • This is an on-site clinical role involving hands-on machine QA and direct participation in patient procedures.
