Director, Enterprise Technology Architecture (Healthcare)

Location: Boston, MA; hybrid, with 2–3 days onsite per week

Salary: $206,000–$221,500 per year

What you will do

• Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the enterprise IT governance framework, including architecture reviews and governance committees.
• Define and maintain enterprise policies, standards, and procedures for integration, security, access, data management, and system lifecycles.
• Direct architects, technical analysts, contractors, and consultants while managing resources, budgets, and operating expenses.
• Guide technology modernization, technical-debt decommissioning, and major medical device, telehealth, mobile, sensor, VDI, and patient-room platform initiatives.
• Coordinate technology investments, vendor evaluations, RFIs, and RFPs with Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, IT, and business stakeholders.
• Establish architecture KPIs, communicate standards and regulatory updates, and lead training and change-management activities.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in IT architecture and governance; 12+ years is preferred.
• Experience with core systems including networks, compute, hosting, storage, endpoints, operating systems, IoT, and healthcare applications.
• Healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceutical, medical device, or innovation-driven organization experience.
• Experience with IT regulatory compliance, risk management, and enterprise frameworks integrating processes, applications, and data.
• Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, data architecture, workflow orchestration, business process modeling, ERP, HCM, MDM, and cloud technologies.
• Architecture-planning platform experience such as LeanIX or Ardoq; TOGAF, ITIL, COBIT, AWS, or Azure Architect certification is preferred.
