Dutch Financial Translator

Location: Hybrid, 3 days per week, based at an office in London, Brussels, or the Netherlands

Salary: €40,000–€45,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead R&D and QA initiatives for the English-to-Dutch machine translation engine, including data strategy reviews and daily output audits.
• Define and implement correction policies to maintain high editorial standards for Dutch-language products.
• Build and maintain glossaries covering financial and economic terminology.
• Engineer and refine prompts to improve the style, tone, and technical accuracy of automated news feeds.
• Collaborate with Product, Editorial, and Data Strategy stakeholders to improve workflows and share best practices.
• Translate and refine automated templates, map third-party content, and expand the Dutch-language market offering.

Requirements

• Native-level Dutch proficiency (C2), with an understanding of European business etiquette and cultural nuances.
• Proven experience in LQA and machine translation post-editing.
• Technical proficiency with CAT tools and terminology databases.
• Expertise in financial terminology and translating complex economic concepts from English to Dutch.
• Hands-on experience with GenAI and LLMs, including foundational prompt engineering knowledge.
