Principal Supply Chain Capital Project Specialist (EPC)

Location: Amarillo, Texas, United States; up to 20% travel required and a driver's license is required.

Salary: $112,000–$159,400 per year

What you will do

• Lead sourcing and procurement strategies for large-scale capital projects, including EPC, engineered equipment, and construction services contracts.
• Define bid requirements, specifications, commercial terms, and contract strategies; run bidding events and lead proposal evaluations.
• Develop negotiation plans and manage contract modifications, change orders, additional work, disputes, and supplier claims.
• Create sourcing project plans and coordinate category strategies with business and project planning activities.
• Manage post-award contracts, supplier performance, KPIs, milestones, and critical supplier relationships.
• Lead capital project risk management and coach other sourcing professionals on contract management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, construction management, business, or a related technical or analytical field.
• At least eight years of advanced contracting, sourcing, or logistics experience.
• Project management experience with expert contract knowledge, negotiation, and project management skills.
• Advanced expertise in sourcing and supply chain management principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing or sourcing systems.
• Strong interpersonal, relationship, presentation, results-oriented, and customer-focused skills.

Nice to have

• MBA and CPSM or another supply chain certification.
• Experience developing, negotiating, and administering EPC contracts for large-scale capital projects.
• Experience with commercial risk allocation, pricing structures, scope management, change orders, and contract claims resolution.
