TL;DR
Medical Device Assembler (MedTech) (cleanroom medical device manufacturing): Assembling, inspecting, and testing medical devices from polymer, plastic, and metal components with an accent on microscope-based work, quality checks, and controlled manufacturing procedures. Focus on maintaining cleanroom integrity, documenting production and test results, and resolving line issues with engineers and technicians.

Location: Danvers, Massachusetts, United States of America; onsite. Work either 1st shift (7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.) or 2nd shift (3:30 p.m.–11:30 p.m.).

Salary: $45,100–$73,370 per year.

What you will do

  • Process polymer materials and assemble plastic and metal components into medical devices according to approved procedures.
  • Inspect and test subassemblies and finished products using microscopes, calibrated instruments, measurement equipment, and test fixtures.
  • Perform in-process quality checks and maintain accurate records for quality, work in progress, test results, labor, and special projects.
  • Maintain cleanroom integrity through proper attire, line clearance, workstation practices, and adherence to cleanroom procedures.
  • Work with engineers and technicians to resolve production-line issues and suggest improvements.
  • Follow safety rules, manufacturing procedures, company policies, QSR requirements, and FDA regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of intensive microscope-based experience in a medical device environment.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small plastic and metal components in high-volume manufacturing.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Basic math skills, computer literacy, and ability to execute tasks under general supervision.
  • Availability for either the 1st or 2nd shift.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • GDP/GMP experience.
  • Soldering and inspection experience.
  • Experience with material and work-order transactions.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
