Principal/Senior Capital Project Sourcing Specialist (EPC Contracting)

Location: Amarillo, Texas, United States; up to 20% travel required

Salary: $112,000–$159,400 per year

What you will do

• Lead sourcing and procurement strategies for large-scale capital projects, including EPC, engineered equipment, and construction services contracts.
• Define bid requirements, specifications, commercial terms, and contract strategies; lead bidding, proposal evaluation, and supplier selection.
• Develop negotiation strategies and resolve contract modifications, change orders, disputes, and additional work requests.
• Create sourcing project plans and coordinate with business units and category management to support project timelines and standardize specifications.
• Manage post-award contracts, supplier performance, KPIs, milestones, commitments, and critical supplier relationships.
• Lead project risk management, contract administration, insurance documentation, and coaching for other sourcing professionals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering, construction management, business, or a related technical or analytical field.
• Eight years of advanced contracting, sourcing, or logistics experience for the Principal level, or five years for the Senior level.
• Project management experience and expert knowledge of contracts, negotiations, and supply chain management principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and significant experience with purchasing and sourcing systems.
• Results-oriented, customer-focused approach with strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
• Valid driver’s license and availability for up to 20% travel required.

Nice to have

• Utility industry experience.
• Construction services contract administration experience.
• EPC construction contracting experience.
• MBA and CPSM or another supply chain certification.
