Senior Controls & Automation Engineer, Greensboro Brown Summit Plant

Location: Greensboro Brown Summit Plant, North Carolina, United States; onsite five days per week. Requires 10% international and domestic travel.

Salary: $110,000–$165,300 per year, plus potential bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Design and implement control strategies for manufacturing processes to improve performance, reliability, and safety.
• Develop and program automation solutions using PLCs, SCADA systems, sensors, motors, and related control technologies.
• Integrate data analytics, machine learning algorithms, and AI-driven solutions into process control and decision-making.
• Partner with manufacturing, quality assurance, and maintenance teams to identify automation opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize existing control systems.
• Prepare technical documentation, train plant personnel, and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering.
• Experience with process and/or machine control.
• Expertise with sensors, motors, PLCs, and industrial automation.
• At least 5 years of professional experience collaborating across teams and organizations.
• Ability to work onsite in person five days a week at the Greensboro Brown Summit Plant in North Carolina.
• Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role.

Nice to have

• Electrical Engineering degree.
• Experience with Rockwell ControlLogix platforms.
• Experience with computer and industrial networks.
