Algorithm Researcher (Data Science)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and improve core algorithms and business logic for complex real-world transportation problems.
• Explore and evaluate algorithmic approaches through data analysis, experimentation, and analytical methods.
• Develop and maintain mission-critical services that bring algorithmic solutions into production.
• Work with large datasets to analyze system behavior and improve algorithm performance.
• Own complex technical problems from initial research and exploration through production implementation.
• Collaborate with algorithm developers, researchers, data scientists, and software engineers.

Requirements

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, or a similar quantitative field.
• 3+ years of relevant industry experience in algorithm development, data science, research, or software engineering with a strong algorithmic focus.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and analytical problem-solving.
• Strong Python skills and experience developing production-quality code.
• Experience applying data science, optimization, or analytical techniques to complex problems.
• Experience turning algorithms, models, or prototypes into production systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with DevOps and cloud infrastructure, including Kubernetes.
• Experience designing and maintaining cloud systems.
• Curiosity, analytical thinking, pragmatic problem-solving, and a hands-on approach to production development.
