Maintenance Mechanic I

hirify.global is hiring for a maintenance role supporting machinery, equipment, tools, and building repairs.

What you will do

• Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, tools, and building systems.
• Assist with repairs to woodworking machinery, infeed and outfeed systems, hand tools, and forklifts using diagrams, manuals, and manufacturer specifications.
• Order required supplies and parts and maintain records of repair and maintenance activities.
• Prepare reports and keep the work area clean and organized.
• Follow established safety procedures and participate in safety, continuous improvement, and department meetings.
• Handle hazardous waste and hazardous materials according to applicable procedures when assigned to the Treating Department.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• At least one year of experience repairing machines in a maintenance setting.
• Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and control technology, as well as welding.
• Knowledge of safe equipment practices and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
• Knowledge of hazardous waste and hazardous material handling procedures.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
