Offshore Production Operative (Chemical Manufacturing)

Location: Wigan, United Kingdom; onsite at the production facility

What you will do

• Mix and blend water-based offshore fluids according to work instructions, job specifications, and standard operating procedures.
• Measure, package, label, and seal chemical products to required quality standards.
• Handle chemicals and materials safely in a manufacturing environment, including manual handling of loads up to 25KG.
• Inspect, check, and calibrate production equipment, reporting faults to management.
• Assist with unloading, storage, and handling of chemicals and materials.
• Follow health, safety, and environmental regulations, including internal HSE requirements.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a chemical manufacturing or chemical processing environment.
• Previous mixing or blending experience.
• Functional Maths and English skills, including the ability to read written instructions and perform basic calculations.
• Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Fork Lift Truck experience and a valid licence.
• Physical ability to lift materials, stand for extended periods, and work in varying environmental conditions.

Nice to have

• Basic knowledge of chemical production processes and equipment operation.
• Familiarity with chemical safety, PPE use, COSHH, and regulatory requirements.
• Basic mechanical troubleshooting aptitude.
• Understanding of quality control principles and production documentation.
