Filling & Packaging Expansion Transition Operator – Night Shift (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Set up, start up, operate, and change over designated legacy filling and packaging lines according to approved SOPs.
• Package commercial pharmaceutical products in line with manufacturing instructions, product specifications, and GMP requirements.
• Complete batch documentation, line cleaning, batch clearance, reconciliation, and related production activities accurately.
• Monitor equipment performance, identify abnormalities, escalate issues, and support Overall Equipment Effectiveness.
• Conduct in-process quality checks and maintain product quality and regulatory compliance.
• Support 5S, GEMBA, continuous improvement, shift handovers, and collaboration with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain.

Requirements

• GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent.
• Experience in a production or regulated manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrable understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
• Packaging machinery certification obtained through OEM in-house training.
• Practical and mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to complete production documentation accurately.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, calibrate associated equipment, communicate effectively, and work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Nice to have

• Recognised packaging qualification, such as an NVQ.
• Five GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above, including Maths and English.
• Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or operating modern, high-speed packaging equipment.
