Traveling Construction Project Manager (Energy Efficiency)

Location: Remote in the United States, with project-site travel in Indiana and Illinois

Salary: $92,000–$134,000 per year, plus benefits and potential performance incentives.

What you will do

• Manage daily construction, administrative, and technical activities for renewable and energy efficiency projects.
• Support the Senior Project Manager with project accounting, budgeting, scheduling, forecasting, reporting, and internal communications.
• Coordinate with customers, engineering and development teams, vendors, subcontractors, and construction managers.
• Review bids, scopes, schedules, materials, equipment, and construction services to support timely project delivery.
• Maintain project schedules, critical-path tracking, outstanding-item tracking, and detailed two-week look-ahead schedules.
• Ensure quality, cost, schedule, contractual, safety, industry, customer, and jurisdictional requirements are met.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least five years of construction project management experience.
• Ability to review confidential US security information.
• Experience with OSHA safety standards and mechanical and electrical systems, engineering, project management regulations, practices, and codes.
• Strong verbal, written, computer, technical communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project, plus a valid driver's license in good standing issued by the resident state.

Nice to have

• Education or progress toward education in engineering, a technical discipline, or a related industry.
• Experience with direct digital energy controls, variable frequency drives, high-efficiency motors, chiller and boiler installations, lighting retrofits, renewable energy technology, warranty, and service requirements.
• Experience managing multiple priorities and fostering positive business relationships.
