Principal Supply Chain Sourcing & Contracting Specialist, Capital Projects

Location: Minneapolis, MN 55401, United States. Up to 20% travel is required, along with a valid driver's license.

Salary: $130,000–$159,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead sourcing and contracting strategies for large-scale capital projects, including EPC, engineered equipment, and construction services.
• Develop bid requirements, specifications, should-cost models, project justifications, and specialized contract terms.
• Lead bidding and proposal evaluation processes, negotiate commercial terms, and award contracts to suppliers.
• Manage contract changes, additional work orders, disputes, risk mitigation, insurance documentation, and contractual compliance.
• Create sourcing project plans and coordinate category strategies with business stakeholders and project teams.
• Lead post-award supplier performance management, including KPIs, milestone tracking, supplier reviews, and coaching for sourcing professionals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, construction management, business, or a related technical or analytical field.
• Eight years of advanced contracting, sourcing, or logistics experience.
• Project management experience and expert contract, negotiation, and supply chain management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and significant experience with purchasing and sourcing systems.
• Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, customer-focused, results-oriented, and executive-level presentation skills.
• Must work in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area and be available for up to 20% travel; a driver's license is required.

• MBA.
• Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or another supply chain certification.
