SVP, Credit Administrator - Middle Market (Commercial Credit)

Location: HQ - San Diego, California, United States

Salary: $180,000–$225,000 per year, plus eligible discretionary cash and restricted stock unit bonus targets of 25% each.

What you will do

• Provide credit oversight for a portfolio of commercial borrowers through initial and periodic reviews, loan structuring, and credit evaluation.
• Review, evaluate, amend, renew, and approve credit proposals within authorized lending limits.
• Monitor pipeline, maturities, delinquencies, risk ratings, and portfolio risk in collaboration with credit portfolio management.
• Develop alternative credit strategies, help manage problem loans, and advise business units on credit issues and transaction documentation.
• Analyze industry, market, and borrower trends and propose updates to credit policies, guidelines, and procedures.
• Coach and mentor direct reports while developing performance metrics and streamlining middle-market processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• 12+ years of related experience.
• Advanced knowledge of commercial credit frameworks and basic commercial credit legal documentation principles.
• Superior credit analysis skills and completion of a formal credit training program at a major financial institution.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
