Linux Systems Administrator

Location: Killeen, Texas, United States. Travel to other data centers or company locations may be required.

What you will do

• Administer, monitor, maintain, patch, secure, and optimize enterprise Linux systems running RHEL, Ubuntu, and CentOS.
• Configure and troubleshoot Linux services including systemd, SSH, Apache, Nginx, and cron.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for escalated server, infrastructure, and enterprise application issues.
• Support, upgrade, monitor, and troubleshoot OpenShift/Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications.
• Administer Windows Server and VMware vSphere/ESXi environments, including virtual machine deployment and resource management.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, infrastructure, security, vendors, and IT teams; maintain technical documentation and participate in a weekly on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Strong hands-on experience administering Linux servers, including configuration, patching, troubleshooting, and security administration.
• Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, PowerShell, and VMware vSphere/ESXi.
• Knowledge of Apache, Nginx, server security, web application vulnerabilities, and appropriate countermeasures.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, prioritization, and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and travel to other data centers or company locations as required.

Nice to have

• Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, DevOps practices, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Splunk.
• RHCSA, RHCE, CKA, CKAD, or OpenShift certifications.
