Field Service Technician II (HVAC)

Location: Atlanta, Georgia; the position can be based at any US location and requires travel to various job sites approximately 85% of the time.

hirify.global builds liquid-cooling and large-scale air-cooling systems for demanding AI and hyperscale data centers, with engineering and manufacturing support from Madison Air.

What you will do

• Commission, repair, and service mechanical and electrical equipment used in data center cooling projects.
• Review work orders, blueprints, schematics, manuals, tools, equipment, and parts required for installation and repair.
• Manage challenging commissioning and warranty jobs while minimizing customer disruption and company costs.
• Coordinate with building owners, contractors, engineers, and local service providers.
• Consult engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve unusual system operation and maintenance issues.
• Provide professional service to internal and external customers and recommend product improvements when appropriate.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three to five years of experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting; HVAC or similar electromechanical experience is preferred.
• Ability to travel approximately 85% of the time for commissioning and warranty work.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis, work independently, and follow through on parts delivery and project completion.
• Excellent customer service and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Trade or technical school education or certification.
• Experience with industrial HVAC or similar electromechanical products.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
• Experience with commercial projects and building automation.
