Electrical Engineer (HVAC)

What you will do

• Create wiring diagrams and lay out 3D electrical components in SolidWorks.
• Review and update bills of material in the Macola system.
• Coordinate with mechanical engineering, drafting, bill of material, sales, and controls teams to meet project specifications.
• Support electrical assembly, HVAC control system testing, and commissioning.
• Create electrical standards, wiring instructions, data tag templates, and unit data tags.
• Evaluate wiring practices and components for cost reduction, efficiency, and code compliance, while supporting field service troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 2–3 years of post-education experience in a fast-paced, procurement-focused environment.
• Knowledge of Electrical SolidWorks and 3D SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of electrical engineering principles, practices, and electrical codes, including UL 1995, NFPA 70, UL 60335-1, and UL 60335-2-40.
• Ability to work independently, learn new standards, and manage multiple responsibilities with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in mathematics, computer skills, technical writing, and Microsoft Office.
