Assistant General Counsel (Renewable Energy)

Location: United States - Massachusetts - Framingham; based at the headquarters. Travel may be required from time to time.

Base salary: $212,000–$306,500 per year, plus benefits and potential performance incentives, bonuses, commissions, or equity depending on the role.

What you will do

• Provide legal counsel to energy services and renewable energy business units across North America.
• Structure, draft, review, and negotiate energy services, energy sales, energy storage, construction, equipment supply, and implementation agreements.
• Advise on project financing arrangements, including non-recourse and limited-recourse financing.
• Review requests for proposals and advise on the legal and financial structure of proposals and offers.
• Interpret regulatory requirements covering renewable energy credits, tax benefits, energy production and sales, imports, environmental matters, and construction activities.
• Support dispute resolution, risk management, corporate governance, and subsidiary maintenance.

Requirements

• J.D. or another advanced legal degree.
• At least 10 years of legal experience; major law firm and in-house experience preferred.
• Admission to practice law in Massachusetts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently and demonstrate strong business acumen.
