HR Operations Manager (FMCG)

Location: Tokyo Office, Japan; onsite

hirify.global is a large FMCG company with HR operations supporting employees and business functions.

What you will do

• Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and workflows that improve efficiency and comply with Japanese regulations and company standards.
• Develop reward strategy and manage annual salary planning, compensation reviews, monthly payroll, and tax returns.
• Manage defined benefit and defined contribution retirement schemes.
• Maintain employee data in Workday across the employee lifecycle and provide decision-making insights.
• Oversee employee relations, grievances, physical and mental healthcare, and long-term sick leave processes.
• Manage external vendors and collaborate with other departments to improve HR service delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience leading HR operations in a medium- to large-sized business, including payroll and retirement pensions.
• In-depth knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
• Strong understanding of Japanese labor laws and regulations.
• Business-level or higher English and Japanese are required.
• Excellent communication, prioritization, multitasking, and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• FMCG experience.
• Labor relations qualification.
