TL;DR
Senior Manager, HR Shared Service, North Asia (HR Operations): Managing HR operations and compliance initiatives across Japan and Korea with an accent on employee experience, process standardization, employment regulation, and HR systems. Focus on transforming Japan’s HR operations, supporting Korea’s local HR team, leading a 5–6-person team, and improving Workday, ServiceNow, and PeopleDoc processes.

Location: Minato-Ku, Japan (Tokyo Corporate Office)

What you will do

  • Lead HR operational excellence and service standardization across North Asia, aligning local and regional objectives with global priorities.
  • Manage employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, mobility, separation, service escalations, and employee experience improvements.
  • Own and improve HR systems and processes, including Workday Core, PeopleDoc, ServiceNow, data integrity, documentation, and digitalization.
  • Drive employment regulation, government reporting, data privacy, and internal and external HR audit activities.
  • Analyze ServiceNow tickets and service-provider performance to identify efficiency and customer-experience improvements.
  • Manage and develop a team of 5–6 people while partnering with HR teams and departments across hirify.global and its brands.

Requirements

  • Fluent Japanese and English required; Korean is an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • At least 8 years of HR operations experience combining operational and project work.
  • Expertise with a case management system such as ServiceNow and an HCM platform such as SuccessFactors or Workday.
  • Deep understanding of Japanese employment laws and regulations, preferably including Korea.
  • Experience in people and vendor management, data analysis and reporting, stakeholder communication, and project delivery.

Nice to have

  • Korean language skills.
  • Knowledge of Korean employment regulations.
  • Payroll experience.
