Mortgage Banking Consultant

What you will do

• Originate residential mortgage loans through internal and external referral sources.
• Build and maintain referral relationships using sales strategies and activities.
• Counsel mortgage customers on lending options and solutions.
• Manage the loan pipeline, including documentation, closing dates, rate expirations, pricing, and compliance milestones.
• Support banking partnerships, customer experience initiatives, cross-selling, external sales activities, and loan quality goals.
• Provide feedback on process efficiency and relationship-processing performance; assist with recruiting support team members when needed.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of job-related experience.
• High school diploma or GED required; a BS or BA degree is preferred.
• Excellent customer service, written and verbal communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to use general office equipment, personal computers, and job-related software, including basic MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Must possess a Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry identifier.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; employment-based visa sponsorship is not provided.
