Accounting Manager (Turkish Market)

Location: Budapest, Hungary; hybrid role with home-office opportunity from the beginning, three days per week

What you will do

• Supervise month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing under US GAAP.
• Prepare and coordinate US GAAP reporting in line with corporate requirements.
• Lead statutory reporting and annual statutory audit activities, including US GAAP and local GAAP reconciliations.
• Review local tax filings and declarations with Corporate Tax, including corporate income tax and VAT.
• Coordinate internal and external audit requests, tax audits, and government inspections.
• Act as a finance and accounting partner to the country manager and leadership team, including support for insurance matters and contracts.

Requirements

• 5+ years of finance or accounting leadership experience, ideally in a similar role.
• Proficiency in US GAAP, local GAAP, statutory reporting, and regulatory reporting.
• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
• Strong computer and systems capability, communication skills, networking skills, problem-solving ability, and business ethics awareness.
• Fluent English and Turkish are required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Hungarian.
• CPA or ACCA certification.
• Experience in an accounting or audit firm.
• Solution-oriented mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
