TL;DR
Senior Financial Analyst (Manufacturing): Analyzing plant and site finance for a production facility with an accent on month-end close, reporting, cost analysis, controls, and audit support. Focus on investigating manufacturing cost variances, preparing budget-versus-actual analyses, and improving finance systems and reporting processes.
Location: Fully onsite in Pétfürdő, Hungary, Monday to Friday

What you will do
- Support preparation and execution of month-end close activities within strict deadlines.
- Collect financial data and prepare accurate monthly reports, analyses, calculations, and summaries.
- Analyze financial variances, maintenance costs, production costs, and other manufacturing-related expenses.
- Support reconciliations, internal controls, SOX controls, and internal and external audit reporting.
- Assist with annual budgeting and budget-versus-actual analysis, including investigations of significant variances.
- Work with maintenance, engineering, production, logistics, purchasing, tax, accounting, and controlling stakeholders to understand operational drivers and improve finance systems and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Approximately 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, controlling, or accounting.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of controlling, financial analysis, and basic accounting principles.
- Very good Excel skills and strong analytical, organizational, and planning abilities.
- Fluent written and spoken English and Hungarian, with availability for fully onsite work in Pétfürdő.
Nice to have
- SAP or other ERP system experience.
- Knowledge of IBM Planning & Analytics and Power BI.
- Previous accounting experience.
