Fleet Credit Analyst

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. Hybrid schedule: four days per week in the office and one day remote. Applicants may work in or relocate to Charlotte; relocation assistance is not available.

Daimler Truck Financial Services provides financing solutions for hirify.global commercial vehicle brands, serving businesses ranging from owner-operators to large fleet managers.

What you will do

• Analyze the financial condition and credit risk of fleet borrowers with DTFS balances exceeding $1.25 million or requesting a line of credit.
• Review fleet borrowers with outstanding balances above $1 million and prepare timely credit assessments.
• Present reasoned recommendations to local, senior, and executive credit approval committees when cases exceed delegated authority.
• Partner with District Finance Managers on buying strategies that balance credit risk and portfolio returns.
• Collaborate with legal counsel, sales, workout, remarketing, fleet services, titles, and dealer credit teams; participate in sales calls and customer or dealer visits when necessary.
• Maintain compliance with fleet-related legal documentation, applicable regulations, and local and global credit rules while supporting training and process improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 2–4 years of relevant experience, or six years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least two years of general business experience and one year of credit experience.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to collect data, establish facts, and identify trends and variances.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check is required for the final candidate.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or statistics.
• Financial analysis and presentation experience.
• Moody’s software experience.
• Commercial lending experience in the transportation industry.
• Knowledge of ALFA, PEGA, ECP, Credit Lens, legal documentation, or UCC.
