Draught Dispense Technician

Location: Wakefield workshop, with regular travel throughout the UK and occasional international travel; hybrid work across workshop and customer-site environments

Salary: £34,000–£42,000 plus overtime and a company van

What you will do

• Assemble, test, refurbish, and prepare Boxbar machines and draught dispense systems.
• Install and commission dispense components, pipework, cooling equipment, pumps, gas systems, and related equipment at customer venues.
• Carry out planned maintenance, servicing, repairs, and mechanical, electrical, and dispense-related fault diagnosis.
• Support venue teams by explaining system operation, cleaning, basic care, and drinks-quality requirements.
• Complete installation reports, service records, job sheets, fault records, and technical documentation.
• Contribute practical ideas to improve workshop builds, field servicing, reliability, and technical processes.

Requirements

• Previous experience with draught dispense systems, beverage equipment, mechanical installations, plumbing, refrigeration, electrical equipment, or a related technical field.
• Practical experience assembling, installing, maintaining, or repairing equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude, confidence using hand and power tools, and the ability to follow technical instructions, diagrams, or schematics.
• Good problem-solving, attention to detail, organisation, and professional communication skills.
• Willingness to travel throughout the UK and occasionally internationally, including flexible evening, weekend, and overnight work when required.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Nice to have

• Experience installing or servicing beer and draught dispense systems.
• Knowledge of keg-to-tap systems, cooling equipment, pumps, gas systems, and dispense components.
• Experience in stadiums, arenas, festivals, hospitality venues, or live events.
• Basic electrical fault-finding, field-service documentation, cellar management, or drinks-quality experience.
• Technical, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or refrigeration qualifications.
