Customs and Compliance Operations Manager (Pharmaceuticals)

Location: Singapore – Mapletree Business City; hybrid work arrangement

What you will do

• Oversee customs compliance and day-to-day customs operations across the APAC region.
• Identify compliance gaps and operational vulnerabilities, then implement corrective and remedial actions.
• Prevent customs penalties and violations through accurate administration, controls, monitoring, and reporting.
• Coordinate customs-related matters and escalations with internal stakeholders, customs brokers, and customs authorities.
• Drive process standardization and continuous improvement across customs operations.
• Support compliant movement of pharmaceutical products under GDP/GMP and local regulatory requirements, including participation in regional and global forums.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong knowledge of customs compliance operations and processes.
• Experience in supply chain and logistics.
• Proficient English in verbal and written communication.
• Ability to manage complex issues independently and develop solutions with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Availability for calls outside standard office hours when required.

Nice to have

• Experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
• Advanced knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems and data analytics tools.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
• Additional language skills.
