What you will do

• Develop mechanical designs for mission-critical facilities, including data centers and advanced manufacturing plants.
• Perform load, pipe pressure-drop, duct pressure-drop, PUE, and WUE calculations and analyses.
• Produce mechanical drawings and specifications while ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Coordinate mechanical design with civil, structural, architectural, electrical, plumbing, and controls disciplines.
• Delegate tasks to junior engineers, provide technical guidance, and support mentorship and training.
• Support construction administration through RFI responses, submittal reviews, field observations, client meetings, and presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• 3–7 years of Mechanical Engineering experience; mission-critical, data center, or high-tech manufacturing experience is preferred.
• EIT certification required; PE license preferred or actively being pursued.
• Proficiency with mechanical design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Trane Trace, Carrier HAP, or similar tools.
• Experience with ICC, ASHRAE, NFPA, and local or regional building codes and regulations.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, plus knowledge of construction workflows and design-build or IPD environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with CFD modeling software such as Ansys Fluent, Cadence Reality, or similar tools.
• Experience in design-build or integrated project delivery environments.
• PE license or active progress toward obtaining one.
