Salary: $100,600–$148,700 per year

What you will do

• Research and develop power system protection technologies for wildfire mitigation.
• Develop expertise in High Impedance Fault detection and analysis.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of electric power systems and protection, monitoring, and control practices.
• Prepare product specifications, application literature, instruction manuals, and data sheets.
• Provide power engineering support for customer applications and Field Application Engineers.
• Write and review innovative solutions for technical meetings and conferences.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of experience with electric power systems, protection practices, and philosophies.
• Working knowledge of apparatus and protective relay applications in an electrical utility or industrial plant.
• Understanding of signal processing and digital systems fundamentals.
• Ability to code in Python and understand existing code.
• Strong technical training, analytical, writing, documentation, and speaking skills.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of SEL products.
• Experience with power system modeling software.
