Steel Plate Roll Operator

Location: Houston, Texas, United States. Onsite work in a shop or field fabrication and manufacturing environment. Standard schedule is Monday–Thursday, 10 hours per day, with mandatory weekend overtime based on production needs.

What you will do

• Set up and operate 3-roll and 4-roll plate rolling machines to form steel into specified shapes and dimensions.
• Roll cones, cylinders, arcs, and custom profiles according to blueprints and templates.
• Measure arcs, diameters, straightness, and other dimensions using gauges and measuring tools.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and correct machine or material issues during operation.
• Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and rigging equipment to move heavy materials.
• Support fabrication and assembly while following safety, PPE, quality, and housekeeping requirements.

Requirements

• 2–5+ years of experience in steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing.
• Proven experience operating steel plate roll machines or similar metal-forming equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and use a tape measure.
• Ability to work with hand tools, including angle grinders, drills, and polishers.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform frequent standing, climbing, reaching, handling, bending, and kneeling in industrial conditions.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred; excellent attendance, communication, punctuality, and practical mathematical skills required.
