Process Automation Engineer (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Drive process improvement from initial machine design through full-scale production.
• Investigate production and process problems and implement practical solutions with vendors and internal departments.
• Execute Process-FMEA analyses, identify failure modes, and implement corrective actions through process, equipment, and control-system changes.
• Support the installation, commissioning, startup, and maintenance of automated equipment.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing automation systems, including Allen-Bradley PLC controls, HMI/SCADA applications, and custom machine interfaces.
• Maintain process and equipment documentation while optimizing process capability, equipment reliability, and production efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Three to five years of industrial process or automation experience.
• Must be a U.S. Person: U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
• Strong programming skills in Allen-Bradley PLCs and experience with VB.NET and VB6.
• Understanding of EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, and Modbus industrial communication protocols.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.
