Default Loan Servicing Specialist

Salary: $21.24–$28.31 per hour

What you will do

• Validate and transmit default status codes, reporting events, and claims data for GNMA, VA, and FNMA portfolios.
• Reconcile servicing systems with default reporting platforms and maintain data integrity.
• Coordinate with servicing, foreclosure, bankruptcy, and claims teams on loan status progression.
• Research reporting exceptions, data variances, and rejected submissions.
• Ensure compliance with investor and agency timelines, reporting requirements, and servicing guides.
• Prepare audit materials, respond to agency inquiries, and support internal and external reporting.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of directly related experience.
• Working knowledge of mortgage default reporting concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow strict guidelines.
• Ability to manage high-volume workflows and meet strict deadlines.
• Experience with Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet tools, and Microsoft Outlook is preferred.
