Bioassay Development Senior Scientist (Cell and Molecular Biology)

What you will do

• Design, direct, and execute analytical experiments to develop and qualify relative potency methods for clinical molecules.
• Engineer novel mammalian cell lines to evaluate mechanisms of action.
• Support monoclonal antibody, bispecific, trispecific, viral gene therapy, and non-viral gene therapy development.
• Maintain electronic laboratory documentation and GMP compliance, including laboratory procedures, maintenance activities, and SOP development.
• Collaborate with biologists, chemists, quality, legal stakeholders, CROs, and CDMOs on testing, training, and validation.
• Present and publish research findings while mentoring interns and junior scientists.

Requirements

• PhD in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, immunology, microbiology, biomedical sciences, life sciences, or a related field with at least one year of relevant research experience; or a relevant master’s degree with at least four years of experience.
• Experience with mammalian cell culture and engineering cell lines or transgenic model systems.
• Extensive experience with at least two of qPCR, western blotting, and plate-based assays such as ELISA or fluorescence-based assays.
• Strong time management, organization, and scientific communication skills.
• Applicants must be based in the United States or Puerto Rico.

Nice to have

• Experience with SnapGene, SoftMax, luminometers, or relative potency statistical analyses.
• Knowledge of standard biologics analytical methods and controls.
