Manufacturing Technology Manager (Industrial Biotechnology)

Location: Clackamas, Oregon, United States; physical presence at the job location is required.

What you will do

• Lead the Manufacturing Technology function at a large-scale industrial biotechnology site, including project portfolios and team performance.
• Develop and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team through goal setting, performance reviews, coaching, and recognition.
• Translate manufacturing technology and operations goals into departmental initiatives and manage priorities across multiple projects.
• Provide process, equipment, and automation design solutions, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Drive continuous improvement to increase capacity, improve product quality, enhance safety, and reduce operating costs.
• Coordinate with capital, automation, business, and Process Research and Development teams on master planning, new products, and process changes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• At least eight years of engineering experience, preferably in industrial or biochemical processing.
• Experience leading teams or managing projects in a manufacturing environment.
• Technical knowledge of industrial biotechnology processes, including fermentation, downstream processing, and liquid and solid formulation.
• Strong decision-making, prioritization, strategic thinking, communication, presentation, financial, and budgeting skills.
• Legal right to work in the United States; physical presence at the Clackamas, Oregon location is required. Successful completion of job-related tests, certifications, drug screening, and background check is required.
