Entry Level Electrical Engineer / Designer (Data Centers)

Location: Hybrid role based in Atlanta, GA; Clifton Park, NY; Phoenix, AZ; or Seattle, WA. Travel to project sites and meetings may be required, below 10%.

Base compensation: $65,000–$85,000 per year.

What you will do

• Assist with electrical design and drafting for greenfield and brownfield data centers, hyperscale and enterprise fit-outs, and data center campuses.
• Support designs for medium-voltage distribution, redundant power systems, on-site generation, UPS backup, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, and small power systems.
• Coordinate electrical power connections with internal and external engineering disciplines.
• Use Autodesk Revit daily to produce detailed electrical design documents.
• Review client standards, design criteria, construction codes, and project specifications with senior engineers.
• Meet project deadlines, communicate with clients and colleagues, and participate in training and mentoring.

Requirements

• 2-year or 4-year degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology preferred; electrical construction experience with drafting certification may be considered.
• Ability to communicate clearly in written and spoken forms and manage multiple tasks.
• Willingness to work under the direction of senior and mid-level engineers and conduct independent research.
• Ability to travel to project sites and meetings when required, below 10%.
• Ability to use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.

Nice to have

• Internship, co-op, or consulting engineering experience.
• Construction industry experience.
• Educational or professional experience with Revit.
• Engineer-in-Training certification.
