Lead Electrical Reliability Engineer (Data Center Infrastructure)

What you will do

• Lead electrical engineers and collaborate with MEP engineers, trade partners, facility technicians, utilities personnel, and internal customers.
• Design and specify power distribution systems, switchgear, motor control centers, lighting, UPS units, generators, automatic transfer switches, and grounding systems.
• Design and support controls, ladder logic, power monitoring hardware and software, data and phone distribution, fire alarm, and lightning protection systems.
• Support facility operation and troubleshooting, including load flow analysis, equipment evaluation, grounding, and power-budget compatibility.
• Coordinate electrical installation and maintenance activities with local utilities and ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
• Review and analyze designs using NFPA 70E, NFPA 70 NEC, NFPA 497, NFPA 101, AFSPCMAN 91-710, and IBC.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or another engineering discipline.
• At least 3 years of professional experience with electrical projects, power distribution systems, switchgear, UPS units, and/or generators.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, prioritization, and workload-scheduling skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently, work with minimal supervision, and solve complex technical problems.

Nice to have

• At least 3 years of management experience and 5 or more years of experience in a similar role.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• Experience reading power and control schematics and technical equipment operation and maintenance manuals.
• Experience with VFDs, industrial pumps, MODBUS controls, medium-voltage distribution, control panel design, power coordination, and arc-flash analysis.
