Sr. AI Developer (AI)

Location: Boston, United States; hybrid work with onsite attendance required four days per week

Target salary: $137,100–$192,000 per year in Boston

What you will do

• Own AI and agentic systems from problem framing and system design through implementation, deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
• Work with business and legal teams to map workflows and streamline high-impact bottlenecks with AI-backed solutions.
• Design agent architectures covering tools, functions, memory, state, retrieval, guardrails, and versioned prompts.
• Build full-stack services and features using C#/.NET, Python, TypeScript, and React, including clean APIs and tested code.
• Deploy and operate AI solutions on Azure, including model selection, evaluation, deployment pipelines, and production operations.
• Define quality metrics, build evaluations and test suites, troubleshoot agents, and improve reliability, security, and auditability.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience building and shipping production software, plus a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals in data structures, system design, testing, CI/CD, observability, and incident response.
• Full-stack coding ability with Python, C#/.NET, and modern TypeScript/React.
• Experience deploying and operating software in production, including LLM or agent solutions.
• Ability to translate ambiguous problems into specifications, milestones, and reliable working systems.
• Must work onsite in the office four days per week under the hybrid model.

Nice to have

• Experience with RAG over internal documents, including chunking, indexing, retrieval tuning, and retrieval evaluation.
• Experience integrating agents with internal systems through APIs, queues, and workflow tools.
• Experience in security-focused or regulated environments involving PII, least-privilege access, auditability, and automated evaluations.
• Experience with Azure AI Foundry or comparable cloud and AI platforms.
