Business Systems Analyst IV

Location: On-site at the San Diego Headquarters, United States; remote work is not an option.

Salary: $95,717–$169,898 annually.

What you will do

• Interview internal users, customers, and external clients to define requirements for complex software modifications and enhancements.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications, business rules, flow charts, report mock-ups, and use cases.
• Facilitate design sessions and coordinate with technical teams on application, database, and integration requirements.
• Lead assigned projects, develop project plans, prioritize tasks, and report progress to stakeholders and management.
• Perform pre-release quality control, support development and QA teams, and manage service requests throughout the SDLC.
• Coordinate software release management and provide functional guidance to less experienced analysts.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree and 6+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 2 years of subject-matter expertise in the relevant area.
• Knowledge of Oracle databases, Java, OLTP, AIX/Solaris, integrated development platforms, relational databases, and client-server concepts.
• Working knowledge of the software development life cycle, business requirements gathering, use-case modeling, and solution requirements.
• Strong project planning, negotiation, communication, interviewing, facilitation, and conflict-management skills.
• Must work on-site in San Diego; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Certified Business Analysis Professional certification.
• Experience mentoring or providing functional direction to other business systems analysts.
