Software Systems Administrator

What you will do

• Manage software systems supporting scheduling, data collection, engineering, production, and business operations.
• Lead system migrations, upgrades, maintenance, documentation, and user support.
• Analyze, develop, write, and maintain code for performance metrics, reporting, and dashboards.
• Collaborate with engineering leaders and business stakeholders to identify system and process improvements.
• Develop training and documentation for software users.
• Support collaboration between engineering groups around new technologies, techniques, standards, and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of software administration experience.
• Experience leading a large software system upgrade or migration for 100 or more end users.
• Experience managing at least five software platforms.
• Proficiency in Visual Studio and at least two programming languages, such as Python, C#, C++, Java, Go, or Rust.
• Ability to manage multiple projects while balancing resources, timing, quality, collaboration, and engineering workflow needs.

Nice to have

• Experience with engineering software systems, QA Trax, LabVIEW, National Instruments, or high-speed data collection systems.
• Experience with enterprise-level data collection systems and SQL databases.
• Experience creating Git and GitHub workflows.
• Experience building a software system from scratch or becoming a subject matter expert in a custom software system.
• Experience using AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code.
