Senior IT Engineer, Enterprise Systems (AI) (Okta, Atlassian, Google Workspace, Slack): Designing, administering, and optimizing critical enterprise SaaS platforms and collaboration systems with an accent on AI enablement, identity management, automation, and license optimization. Focus on managing a 30+ application ecosystem, improving user lifecycle workflows, strengthening security posture, and mentoring junior systems engineers.
Location: Hybrid position based in the New York City office
Salary: $147,000–$190,000 per year

What you will do
- Design, administer, and optimize core enterprise platforms, including Jira, Confluence, Google Workspace, and Slack.
- Lead the strategy and roadmap for SaaS adoption, optimization, and AI-native capabilities such as Slack AI and Atlassian AI.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain a catalog of more than 30 SaaS platforms using SaaS Management Platforms.
- Improve onboarding and offboarding workflows, conduct SaaS audits, optimize licenses, and enhance security posture.
- Create source-of-truth documentation for supported applications and processes.
- Mentor junior systems engineers and promote technical knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional IT systems experience in a fast-paced environment supporting a hybrid or distributed workforce.
- Extensive hands-on administration and architecture experience with Okta, Jira, Confluence, Google Workspace, and Slack.
- Ability to manage and support more than 30 SaaS platforms beyond the core collaboration stack.
- Experience or demonstrated interest in using AI tools to increase engineering velocity and automate manual work.
- Ability to support infrastructure and automation teams without directly owning those domains.
- Strong adaptability, technical problem-solving, communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with SaaS Management Platforms such as Productiv, Lumos, or Torii.
- Okta expertise supporting identity governance and administration and user lifecycle initiatives.
