Data Scientist II (AI/ML)

Location: Remote in the USA or hybrid in Irvine, California

Salary: $82,574–$127,490 per year

What you will do

• Design, build, train, deploy, and manage machine learning models and production data products.
• Mine internal data, create data collection frameworks, automate data collection, and perform feature engineering and exploratory analysis.
• Develop and evaluate classification, regression, NLP, optimization, and other machine learning solutions.
• Build model outputs, APIs, pipelines, and downstream integrations with engineering teams.
• Support LLM, retrieval-augmented generation, hybrid modeling, and cloud ML use cases.
• Validate, test, document, and communicate model behavior, assumptions, and results throughout the SDLC.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, engineering, mathematics, or a related technical field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 2–5+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or related roles.
• Production experience building and deploying machine learning models.
• Strong knowledge of machine learning, statistical modeling, data science techniques, and model evaluation.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with familiarity with data pipelines, APIs, and integration patterns.
• Experience with Azure Machine Learning, AWS SageMaker, or similar cloud ML platforms.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, or similar AI platforms.
• Enterprise software experience and familiarity with software development lifecycle practices.
• Master’s degree in a related technical field.
