Adjunct Faculty: CID-CBE MS Public Safety

Location: Commerce, Texas, United States; teaching is conducted in a fully online competency-based education format.

What you will do

• Teach three semester credit hours during each 7-week term in the fully online CBE format.
• Support CBE orientation courses and respond to student inquiries within 24 hours.
• Provide timely feedback on assignments and assessments while evaluating coursework and examinations.
• Facilitate courses according to the standard syllabus provided by the Assistant Dean.
• Monitor undergraduate-level orientation courses and provide weekly status reports to academic advisors.
• Develop and maintain syllabi, course content, question libraries, and other teaching materials.

Requirements

• Terminal degree in public safety or a closely related field with 18 credit hours in the relevant subject area, or a master’s degree in public safety with a terminal degree in a closely related field.
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, work cooperatively, and work with minimal supervision.
• Availability to work after business hours and on weekends.
