Journeyman Electrical

Location: Vienna, VA, United States; full-time on-site. Work hours include overnight shifts from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, including Thursday through Monday or Saturday and Sunday.

Salary: $31.06–$38.85 per hour

What you will do

• Install, alter, maintain, and repair emergency power systems, electrical systems, UPS systems, and electrical equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctions and technical issues across single- and three-phase systems, signal and control circuits, and low-voltage systems.
• Plan electrical installation, alteration, and repair projects while following safety rules, codes, and work schedules.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, engineering drawings, diagrams, and manufacturer manuals.
• Coordinate and monitor external vendors and inspect contractor work for safety, quality, and compliance.
• Provide technical guidance to apprentice electricians and may lead teams during projects, preventative maintenance, or emergency responses.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Four years of practical experience maintaining and repairing commercial electrical and mechanical systems, including generators, fuel distribution systems, UPS, electrical distribution devices, and HVAC systems.
• Journeyman electrician license or four years of commercial work experience under a licensed technician.
• Knowledge of tools, mathematics, electrical codes, materials, safety regulations, NFPA standards, and the NEC.
• Valid driver's license and ability to read technical documentation and use Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to work independently, lead teams, communicate effectively, and complete technical training for critical equipment.
